Chris Morton is a semi-retired consultant focused on advising data, information and software companies on accelerating growth. He is currently an investor and advisor to the CEOs of EarthOptics, YouCompli and DealVector.
Chris’ career experience spans sales, marketing, business and corporate development. Notably, he was CMO and Chief Corporate Development Officer of NAVEX, the leading ethics and compliance software company during its Vista PE ownership period, and he co-led NAVEX’s successful exit to BC Partners. Before that, he spent 14 years at Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI) building and managing businesses across many of the major business units, including Legal, Compliance, Financial and Risk, and Education. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Chris was a board-level partner of the British market research publishing company Datamonitor. And before that, he worked as a management consultant at Marakon Associates.
Chris earned a master’s of business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in applied geophysics from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s in geology and applied mathematics from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
